How was I supposed to know that Brené Brown knew Kelly Rae Roberts?
I am finishing up Part I of Brené’s “The Gifts of Imperfection” e-course and today we have been directed to create a personal mantra that can be used to center ourselves when we cannot hear or trust our own intuition (such as when we are under stress). To explain the purpose of this week’s intention (cultivating intuition and trusting faith: letting go of uncertainty), Brené posted a video. And who was in it? Her good friend, Kelly Rae Roberts!
Completely independently (or so I thought), I had signed up in January for Kelly Rae Roberts’ “Hello Soul, Hello Mixed-Media Mantra” e-course, merely looking for a class on mixed media painting. And guess what she is asking us to do in Lesson 1 today? Yup. The same thing. Dig deep, listen to our intuition, trust in its honesty, and create a personal mantra that will serve us during times of uncertainty or growth.
I am beginning to think that there are no coincidences, only things that are put in front of us because we need to see them. That sounds a little woo-woo, I know, but I was raised near Sedona, Arizona which is the new-age capital of the world. I think these e-courses have been brought to my attention not just to allow me to be creative, but to help me let go of negativity and control and to allow more love and self-acceptance into my life.
I’ll assume that there is only one universal voice and it is speaking to me. After journal work and soul-searching, I have created a page containing my personal mantra for “The Gifts of Imperfection” e-course, week 6. I will trust my intuition that says it can also serve as my personal mantra for Kelly Rae’s “Hello Soul, Hello Mixed-Media Mantra” e-course.
Note: This is about the mantra, not the art . . . so I’m letting it be imperfectly perfect!
