As if I’m not already doing several art challenges this year (and as if I’m not already behind on many of them), I decided to join the Daisy Yellow Index-Card-A-Day art challenge. Yup. Art on an index card. Every single day during the months of June and July 2014. Sixty-one index cards in all. Tammy Garcia of DaisyYellowArt is sponsoring this challenge again for the third year in a row and members can post their creations on their blogs, on FLIKR, or in a closed members-only facebook group.
Why an index card? Because they are small and they are not precious. Need inspiration? There are weekly themes and daily prompts if you wish to use them. You can create anywhere: at home, on the bus, watching your kids at the swimming pool….or wherever. And I’m doing it. You can too, if you wish. Go here to find out more: http://daisyyellowart.com/icad/icad-faq.html
Here is my first ever index card. The weekly theme is TEXT and the daily prompt is PRISM.
